We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Local Data Storage

By default, DA Tasks stores all your task data, notes, and reminders locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly enable synchronization services.

Synchronization Services (Optional)

If you choose to use synchronization features, data will be shared with the respective third-party providers you authorize:

• Google Tasks: Synchronizes tasks with your Google account.
• Microsoft To Do: Synchronizes tasks with your Microsoft account.
• CalDAV / EteSync / DecSync CC: Synchronizes with your chosen third-party servers.
• DA Tasks Cloud: An optional service provided by us for cross-device synchronization.

Diagnostics and Usage Data

To ensure the stability and reliability of the app, we use the following services:

• Firebase Crashlytics: Used to collect crash reports so we can fix bugs. This data is anonymized.
• PostHog: Used to understand how users interact with the app features to improve the user experience. We do not track personal identifying information through this service.

2. Location Data

DA Tasks does not collect, share, or store your location data. We have removed all location-related permissions to ensure your privacy is respected.

3. Permissions

The app may request the following permissions to function correctly:

• Calendar: To display and sync tasks with your device's calendar.
• Storage/Media: To allow you to attach files to tasks and create/restore backups.
• Notifications: To send you reminders for your tasks.

4. Data Security

The security of your data is important to us. We use industry-standard encryption when transmitting data to synchronization services and rely on the security protocols of the platforms you choose (Google, Microsoft, etc.).
